The Milton Panthers will challenge the T.R. Miller Tigers at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams are strolling into their matchups after big wins in their previous games.
T.R. Miller will be up against a hot Milton team: the squad just extended their winning streak to three. The Panthers never let Pine Forest get on the board and left with a 15-0 win on Tuesday. With that victory, the Panthers brought their scoring average up to 6.2 runs per game.

Ashlyn Sutton made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and not a single walk). She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI and one triple. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Destiny Dennis, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. Those three hits gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Madison Vanderburg, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs and two RBI.
Milton kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their hit total in three consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for T.R. Miller, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. Everything went their way against Monroe County on Monday as they made off with a 16-0 win. T.R. Miller hasn't had any issues with Monroe County recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.
Ollie Billingsley was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She struck out six batters over two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and only one walk). Billingsley was also big at the plate, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with two stolen bases and three runs.
In other pitching news, Alivia Mcgraw looked comfortable as she pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs off one hit.
Back at the plate, Ellie Miller was a standout: she went a perfect 1-for-1 with four RBI and one triple. That triple was her first of the season. Carli Peach was another key player, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with two runs and two RBI.
Milton's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for T.R. Miller, their victory bumped their record up to 3-5.
Milton was able to grind out a solid win over T.R. Miller when the teams last played back in April of 2017, winning 8-5. Will the Panthers repeat their success, or do the Tigers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
