With a playoff game on the line, the Opp Bobcats rose to the challenge on Tuesday. They walked away with a 62-51 victory over the Gamecocks. Opp's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Opp to victory, but perhaps none more so than Dorian Harris, who scored 14 points along with six rebounds and three steals. Harris is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Reed Adams, who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds.
Opp's win ended a ten-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-23. As for New Brockton, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 13-16.
Opp is on the road again on Thursday and plays Pike County at 6:30 p.m. on February 8th. Hopefully Opp focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 on Tuesday. New Brockton does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
