The Plum Mustangs had to start their season on the road on Friday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They were the victim of a tough 71-50 loss at the hands of Beaver. Plum lost against Beaver in their previous head to head back in December of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 65-41 score last time.
Brady Mayo was a one-man wrecking crew for Beaver as he scored 27 points along with 4 steals and 3 blocks. Nick Krzeczowski was another key contributor, scoring 9 points along with 5 assists and 5 steals.
Plum's defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Beaver, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
Plum will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Elizabeth Forward at 7:30 p.m. As for Beaver, they will take on Brentwood at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday.
