Southern Columbia Area is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Steelton-Highspire 55-26. The Tigers pushed the score to 55-18 by the end of the third, a deficit the Steamrollers cut but never quite recovered from.

Southern Columbia Area's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brayden Andrews, who rushed for 133 yards and three touchdowns on only 11 carries, and also picked up 51 receiving yards. Joey Williams helped out on the ground, rushing for 92 yards and a rushing touchdown.
Southern Columbia Area's run defense was locked in: Steelton-Highspire could only muster 1.3 yards per carry. While three picked up at least four total tackles, Andrews stood above the rest. He rushed for 133 yards and three scores on only 11 carries, and also picked up 51 receiving yards. Southern Columbia Area didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 7.5.
Southern Columbia Area didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Caius Morrow, Kaden Zachman, and Kane Cecco picked up one apiece.
Meanwhile, Lansdale Catholic got the win against Williams Valley on Friday by a conclusive 33-7. Considering the Crusaders have won eight contests by more than 20 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Southern Columbia Area better keep an eye on Yeboa Cobbold Jr.. He was instrumental in Lansdale Catholic's win, rushing for 102 yards and one TD on only seven carries, while also throwing for 124 yards and a pair of touchdowns while completing 83.3% of his passes. Another player making a difference was Nick OBrien, who rushed for 67 yards and a pair of scores.
Southern Columbia Area's record now sits at 13-1. As for Lansdale Catholic, their record is now 12-2.
