After flying high against the Rockville Rams last Thursday, the Quince Orchard Cougars came back down to earth. Quince Orchard fell just short of Whitman by a score of 70-67. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Whitman to victory, but perhaps none more so than Thomas Farrell, who scored 19 points along with six rebounds. Farrell hasn't dropped below 15points for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Titian DeRosa, who scored 15 points along with six assists and six rebounds.
Quince Orchard's defeat dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Whitman, their victory was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-3.
Quince Orchard will take on Bethesda-Chevy Chase at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Maryland (Bethesda-Chevy Chase is ranked 90th, while Quince Orchard is ranked 109th). As for Whitman, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Seneca Valley at 7:15 p.m.
