Blake Owen produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Cookeville to the win on Friday. Owen rushed for 232 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 11.0 yards per carry, and also threw for 167 yards and a touchdown on only ten passes, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. Owen must have Gallatin's number; he was a force to be reckoned with the last time he faced them too. Back in September of 2023 (the last time Owen saw the Green Wave), he rushed for 126 yards, and also threw for 91 yards and two touchdowns.

Stroup and Gallatin will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Wilson Central at 7:00 p.m. on October 18th. The last time Stroup took on the Wildcats, he threw for 152 yards and a touchdown, and also punched in a rushing score. Can he match (or beat) that performance?
