La Center is on a five-game streak of home losses dating back to last season, and King's Way Christian a four-game streak of away losses also dating back to last season. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Monday. La Center managed to slip by Prairie the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Wildcats lost 18-6 to the Falcons on Friday.

Lauren Baker was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two doubles, two RBI, and one run. She is on a roll when it comes to hits, as she's now got three or more in each of the last four games she's played. Another player making a difference was Billie Ross, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI.
Meanwhile, King's Way Christian didn't have quite enough to beat Castle Rock on Thursday and fell 12-10. Even though they lost, the Knights' still made a splash at the plate and bumped their average scoring up to 6.4 runs per game (they're now ranked -1th in scoring overall).
Grace Wickum made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 4-for-5 with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base. That triple was her first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Lauren Lewis, who went 3-for-5 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
La Center's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for King's Way Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 1-6.
Monday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. La Center hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .378. However, it's not like King's Way Christian struggles in that department as they've averaged .390. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
La Center took their win against King's Way Christian when the teams last played back in March by a conclusive 13-2 score. Will the Wildcats repeat their success, or do the Knights have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
