After flying high against the Dale County Warriors last Monday, the Trinity Presbyterian Wildcats came back down to earth. Trinity Presbyterian ended up on the wrong side of a rough 72-50 walloping at the hands of LaFayette on Thursday. Trinity Presbyterian was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as LaFayette apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January.
LaFayette was led to victory by Branaviyun Story and Vaderrian Story. Story dropped a double-double on 13 points and 11 rebounds, while Story scored 27 points along with 6 rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Story has scored at least 25% of LaFayette's points. Jordan Johnson was another key contributor, scoring 8 points along with 5 rebounds and 3 steals.
Trinity Presbyterian's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for LaFayette, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-2-1.
Trinity Presbyterian will be playing at home against Elmore County at 6:15 p.m. on Monday. As for LaFayette, they will head out on the road to face off against Dadeville at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
