The Canby Cougars won the last time they faced the Hillsboro Spartans, and things went their way on Friday too. Canby breezed by the Spartans on the road to the tune of 83-39. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win Canby has managed all season.
Dylan Nelson had an outrageously good game as he scored 21 points. It was the first time this season that he scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Jack Brauckmiller, who scored 12 points along with two steals.
Canby's victory bumped their record up to 8-9. As for Hillsboro, they have been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 11 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-14 record this season.
Canby will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Broncos at 7:00 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Oregon (Parkrose is ranked 107th, while the Cougars are ranked 98th).
