Fremd barely beat Elk Grove the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Vikings never let the Grenadiers get on the board and left with a 12-0 victory on Friday. The Vikings might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten games by seven runs or more this season.

Fremd's win was their 12th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 25-1-1. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.8 runs over those games. As for Elk Grove, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-19 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fremd will head out to challenge Naperville Central at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The last four games the Redhawks have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Elk Grove, they will head out on the road to face off against Warren Township at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Blue Devils' pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so the Grenadiers' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
