After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Meeker, The Buena Vista Demons were happy to have found some success on Friday. They strolled past Cedaredge with points to spare, taking the game 39-20. That's another feather in the cap for Buena Vista, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Buena Vista can attribute much of their success to Caleb Camp, who rushed for 124 yards and two touchdowns on only seven carries. Another player making a difference was Tray Cardwell, who rushed for 99 yards and a touchdown on only 12 carries.
Despite the loss, Cedaredge still got an impressive performance from Luke Maxey, who rushed for 60 yards and two touchdowns on only seven carries, and also threw for 210 yards and a touchdown while picking up 10.5 yards per attempt. Logan Tullis was another key contributor, gaining 100 total yards and a touchdown.
Buena Vista's victory bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Cedaredge, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-4.
Buena Vista does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Cedaredge also has no future games currently scheduled.
