The Seneca Bobcats will face off against the Blue Ridge Fighting Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Seneca's defense has only allowed 13.2 points per game this season, so Blue Ridge's offense will have their work cut out for them.
Things were looking good for Seneca after they put the first points on the board on Friday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They took a 27-16 hit to the loss column at the hands of Daniel. The Bobcats were up 16-0 in the third quarter but couldn't hold on to the lead.

Amari Verner

09/12/25 vs Walhalla | 120 |

08/29/25 vs Woodmont | 163 |

Seneca might have lost, but man, Amari Verner was a machine: he rushed for 132 yards and one score. Verner is crushing it when it comes to rushing yards: he's rushed for at least 120 every time he's taken the field this season. Jeremiah Hunter also deserves a mention for his punt return touchdown.
Most of the squad's points came courtesy of special teams, who contributed ten in total. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Hunter, who ran a punt back for a touchdown.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Blue Ridge). They breezed past Landrum to the tune of 63-28 on Friday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.
Seneca better keep an eye on Gavin Forrester. He was instrumental in Blue Ridge's win, rushing for 123 yards and three touchdowns on only 15 carries, while also throwing for 190 yards and three TDs on only 15 passes. Those three passing touchdowns gave Forrester a new career-high. Mitch Bobbitt was Forrester's top target, picking up 118 receiving yards and a pair of scores.
The victory made it two in a row for Blue Ridge and bumps their season record up to 4-1. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.5 points over those games. As for Seneca, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 5-1.
Seneca took their victory against Blue Ridge in their previous meeting back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 47-21 score. Do the Bobcats have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Fighting Tigers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
