The Curwensville Golden Tide's's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fifth straight loss. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 30-8 walloping at the hands of Glendale. Curwensville was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 24-0.
Glendale found their leader in underclassman Logan Skebeck, who rushed for 34 yards and a touchdown.
Curwensville's defeat was their eighth straight at home (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 1-8. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 16.4 points per game. As for Glendale, their win ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-6.
Curwensville will square off against Tussey Mountain at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Glendale, they will be playing at home against Northern Bedford County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Northern Bedford County is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling.
