Auburn has enjoyed the comforts of home their last three games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will square off against the Daphne Trojans at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday. One thing working in Auburn's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three matches.
Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Auburn walked away with it. They skirted past the Red Devils 71-68. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Tabari Allen was his usual excellent self, scoring 27 points along with six rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Griffin Mclean, who scored nine points along with five rebounds.
Meanwhile, Daphne took a serious blow against Fairhope on Thursday, falling 74-47. While losing is never fun, Daphne can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 185th, while Fairhope is ranked 30th).
Auburn pushed their record up to 25-5 with that win, which was their 13th straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 74.7 points per game. As for Daphne, their loss dropped their record down to 12-15.
