The Perkins-Tryon Demons had already proven themselves in the regular season, and didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They breezed by Holland Hall at home to the tune of 65-0. The win was nothing new for Perkins-Tryon as they're now sitting on nine straight.
Perkins-Tryon got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Eric Stevenson out in front who rushed for 81 yards and three touchdowns. Wyatt Atkinson was another key contributor, rushing for 105 yards and two touchdowns on only 13 carries.
Perkins-Tryon pushed their record up to 11-1 with that victory, which was their sixth straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 46.5 points per game. As for Holland Hall, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-4.
Perkins-Tryon will face off against Lincoln Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Lincoln Christian is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. Holland Hall does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
