It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Cedar Key Sharks can now relate to. They took a serious blow against the Red Devils on Monday, falling 72-7. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Cedar Key has scored all season.
Kaelynn Brown continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Williston, almost dropping a double-double on 18 points and nine steals. Another player making a difference was Natreana Akanni, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds and four steals.
Cedar Key has traveled a rocky road recently having lost nine of their last 11 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season. As for Williston, they now have a winning record of 11-10.
Cedar Key does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Williston is on the road again on Wednesday and plays the Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on February 7th. Trenton is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
