The Watertown Indians's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss dating back to last season. They were outmatched by Waterbury Career Academy at home and fell 92-57. Watertown has not had much luck with Waterbury Career Academy recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
Waterbury Career Academy had a senior duo take command as Zaire Lott scored 21 points along with five rebounds and five steals and Andrew Williams scored 16 points along with seven assists and three steals. Another player making a difference was Jeremiah Williams, who scored 14 points.
Watertown's defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Waterbury Career Academy, the win was the 11th in a row (dating back to last season) for them, bringing their record for this year to 1-0.
Watertown will head out on the road to face off against Torrington at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Torrington focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 on Friday. Waterbury Career Academy won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Bloomfield at 8:00 p.m. on December 16th.
