Reese Pendergrass posted a new career-low in hits on Thursday. He turned in nothing short of a gem, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits while striking out six over five innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Rhea County is 3-1 when he allows at most two earned runs, but 2-9 otherwise.

Coming up, Pendergrass and Rhea County will host Silverdale Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Golden Eagles will be headed into this one with a sizable disadvantage in the rankings (they're ranked 142 places lower in Tennessee), but they're not letting that get them down.
