Red Cloud put the finishing touches on their fourth blowout victory of the season on Thursday. They were the clear victor by a 45-24 margin over Franklin. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win Red Cloud has posted since December 1, 2023.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Red Cloud to victory, but perhaps none more so than Avery Fangmeyer, who scored 17 points. Another player making a difference was Adelynn Minnick, who scored 14 points.
Meanwhile, Sandy Creek earned a 50-37 victory over St. Paul last Friday. The win was just what Sandy Creek needed coming off of a 46-22 loss in their prior matchup.
Sandy Creek's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ryleigh Skalka led the charge by scoring 16 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Skalka has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Ella Martin, who scored 15 points.
Red Cloud now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Sandy Creek, their win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-9.
