Leake County found their leader in underclassman Treylon Ricks, who scored 23 points along with five steals. Ricks has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last six times he's played. Nigel Kincaid was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with seven steals and six assists.
Mississippi School for the Deaf dropped their record down to 3-17 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight at home. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 22.8 points per game. As for Leake County, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 11-13.
