Even though the Washougal Panthers scored an imposing 55 points on Tuesday, the Camas Papermakers still came out on top. Camas blew past Washougal 85-55 at home. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Camas also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2019.
When it comes to explaining why Washougal lost, one person who can't be blamed is Mather Minnis. Despite the final result, he scored 21 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Mason Darling, who scored 7 points along with 5 rebounds.
Camas' win bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Washougal, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.
Camas will be playing at home against Prairie at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Washougal, they will head out on the road to face off against Heritage at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
