Riverside Christian Academy extended the longest winning streak in Middle Tennessee (8 Man) this week by beating Evangel Family Christian Academy, 36-26. The win marks fourth in a row for the Riverside Christian Academy.
Franklin Classical was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from 11th to ninth in the league. Earlier in the week, the Knights triumphed over Franklin Christian Academy 50-8.
McClain Christian Academy's dynamic duo of Brandon Fox and Troy Huddleston proved tough for Aaron Academy to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Fox threw for 178 yards and three touchdowns and Huddleston had 128 yards receiving. Daniel Boyer helped McClain Christian Academy's passing attack out by catching three balls for 93 yards.
Michael Minton made the biggest impact on defense this week as St. Andrews-Sewanee bested Christian Community. The 5-foot-10 junior grabbed 1.0 sack.
Weston Kenney was the most productive running back in the league this week. In two carries, he ran for 265 yards as the Royals lost to the Royals. Teammate Noah Johnson added to the ground attack by rushing for 23 yards.
The Falcons' KC Jorgensen and Alex Deits have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading Middle Tennessee (8 Man) in both passing and receiving yards. Jorgensen has thrown for 1493 yards this season, while Deits, a 5-foot-6 receiver, has 50 catches for 752 yards. Aaron Academy's Kenney leads the league in rushing yards with 1177.
The marquee game in the league this week will be the clash between Franklin Classical and the Royals. Seth Witherington's team enters the contest ranked 13th in the state, while Aaron Academy ranks third.
In 50 carries Cole Chrisman has accumulated 918 yard this year.
