The Scottsdale Christian Academy Eagles extended their postseason success on Saturday against the Arizona Lutheran Academy Coyotes. They came out on top against the Coyotes by a score of 23-16. The win was nothing new for Scottsdale Christian Academy as they're now sitting on nine straight.
Andrew Trapp was his usual excellent self, rushing for 110 yards and two touchdowns on only eight carries, while also catching a touchdown. Trapp really tore up the turf during one magnificent 78-yard run. Scottsdale Christian Academy also got a significant boost from Everett Salazar, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 88 yards.
Scottsdale Christian Academy has yet to lose a match on the road this season, leaving them with a 11-2 record. It's not like the team was facing easy opposition over that stretch either, as it included 10-3 San Tan Charter and 9-3 Camp Verde (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 59.6% over those games). As for Arizona Lutheran Academy, their loss ended a seven-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-1.
Scottsdale Christian Academy will head out on the road to face off against Pima at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Pima is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling. Arizona Lutheran Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
