5A District 4 recap October 22, 2013
Adding to the longest winning streak in 5A District 4 this week, Central beat Zachary 35-0. The victory was the fourth in a row for the team.
Live Oak led the league in scoring this week by notching 55 points on Walker.
One of the league's premier quarterbacks will go head-to-head with its top pass rusher when Scotlandville and the Eagles face off next week. DARION WILLIAMS has thrown for 464 yards and 6 touchdowns this season, while Team Player1 has terrorized opposing QBs to the tune of 1.0 sacks.
An important game coming up in 5A District 4 this week will be when Broadmoor takes on Central. The Buccaneers are in fourth place, while the Wildcats are in first place.
There should be lots of points scored when the Hornets and Live Oak face off this week. The top two offenses in the league, Scotlandville comes in having scored 36 this season, while the Eagles have scored 28. Eric Randall's team scored 26 points last week as it bested Denham Springs.
Live Oak made the biggest leap in the national rankings this week, rising to 4,933 from 5,293. They were able to move up in the ranks after a 55-28 victory over the Wildcats last week.
