The Harvard Cardinals will head out on the road to face off against the Palmer Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Harvard focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 22 on Thursday.
Harvard had to start their season on the road , and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They fell just short of Giltner by a score of 32-30. Harvard has struggled against Giltner recently, as their matchup on Thursday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the loss, Harvard saw an underclassman step up: Tabi Forney scored 16 points along with 9 rebounds and 6 steals. Haley Gimpel was another key contributor, scoring 8 points along with 6 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Palmer had to suffer through a rough 65-14 loss at the hands of St. Francis. Palmer was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 52-5.
Harvard's defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Palmer, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
Harvard ended up a good deal behind Palmer in their previous meeting back in December of 2022, losing 32-18. Can Harvard avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
