The Two Rivers Raiders will square off against the Valders Vikings at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Two Rivers 3.7, Valders 3.6) so any runs scored will be well earned.
On Saturday, Two Rivers was able to grind out a solid victory over Hilbert, taking the game 5-1.
Anna Klein spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on four hits and racked up 13 Ks. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 16 consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Rylee Tmm, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in RBI (two). Another player making a difference was Peytynn Schramm, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.
For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Valders and Chilton meet (six straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Thursday. The Vikings fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 3-2.
Megan Hochkammer put in work while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out nine over seven innings pitched. Hochkammer was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with two doubles and one stolen base.
Hochkammer wasn't the only one making solid contact as five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Brooke O'Connor, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI. Taylor Dallas also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.
Two Rivers has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a massive bump to their 13-9 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Valders, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-8 record this season.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Monday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Two Rivers has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 6.9 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Valders struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 9.4 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
