The Coolidge Colts had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 18 points), and they went ahead and made it six on Tuesday. They took down Friendship Collegiate Academy 69-52.
It was another big night for Quintin Cooper, who scored 35 points along with three steals. The match was his ninth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Makiah Gray, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten rebounds.
Coolidge pushed their record up to 7-2 with that victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 76.0 points per game. As for Friendship Collegiate Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 2-8.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Coolidge won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Phelps Architecture, Construction & Engineering at 7:00 p.m. on December 20th. Phelps Architecture, Construction & Engineering is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak. Friendship Collegiate Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Parkside at 7:00 p.m. on January 4, 2024.
