Plant City's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Vaughn Gloetzner, who scored two points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
Jefferson dropped their record down to 2-16 with that loss, which was their ninth straight at home. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 27.8 points per game. As for Plant City, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-18.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Jefferson won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Freedom at 6:30 p.m. on January 26th. Freedom comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for Plant City, they will head out on the road to square off against Mulberry at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Mulberry knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past five contests -- so hopefully Plant City likes a good challenge.
