Jaydin McClure was huge no matter where she played even without the win. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over seven innings while giving up four earned (and six unearned) runs off four hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in six consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 3-for-3.
In other batting news, Peyton Thomas was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one double. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April of 2024.
