Phillip Sharpe was a major factor in Marshall Academy's victory over North Delta on Tuesday. Sharpe turned in nothing short of a gem, striking out 13 batters over 5.1 innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.

Sharpe's effort led Marshall Academy over North Delta and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Patriots are 7-2 against the Green Wave going back to March of 2023, a lead they'll look to extend.
