On Thursday, Horizon lost to Legend on the road by a decisive 70-53 margin.
Despite the loss, Horizon still got an impressive performance from Natalie Thornton, who scored 13 points along with 7 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Morgan Ives, who scored 13 points along with 3 steals.
Leading Legend to victory were Maley Wilhelm and Katie Lamb. Wilhelm scored 6 points along with 14 rebounds and 4 steals, while Lamb scored 16 points along with 6 steals and 5 assists. Ava Gavi was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Horizon's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Legend, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Horizon will be playing at home against Windsor at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Windsor focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Thursday. Legend's road trip will continue as they head out to face Pine Creek at 5:30 p.m. on December 2nd.
