The Marianna Bulldogs will look to defend their home field  on Friday against the Jonathan Alder Pioneers at 4:00  p.m. Marianna will be looking to keep their five-game home win streak  alive.
 In what's become a running theme this season, Marianna gave their fans yet another huge  victory on Thursday. They blew past Providence Christian 12-3. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for Marianna considering their one-run performance the  match before.
  Murphy Mitchell and  Addison Giles did most of the damage at the plate:  Mitchell  scored three  runs and  stole three bases while going 1-for-4, while  Giles  got on base  in three of her four plate appearances with a  triple, two  RBI,  and a  run. The team also got some help courtesy of  Allie Bruner, who  scored two  runs while going 2-for-3.
 Jonathan Alder won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune  on Thursday. They suffered a  rough 17-7 defeat at the hands of North Bay Haven Academy.
 Marianna is  on a roll lately: they've  won six of their last eight games,  which provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record  this season. As for Jonathan Alder, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.
