Basketball Recap: Swansea Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Donnell Goodwin and Zyshawn Jamison

Swansea was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 26th straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a 48-36 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Fairfield Central Griffins. The Tigers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Griffins apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2017.

Swansea's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Zyshawn Jamison, who posted 18 points and four steals, and Donnell Goodwin, who earned eight points along with eight rebounds and four blocks. What's more, Goodwin also racked up four assists, the most he's had since back in January.

Fairfield Central's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Thomas Johnson, who almost dropped a double-double on 20 points and nine boards. Another player making a difference was Brenton Mack, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 11 rebounds.

Swansea's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Fairfield Central, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Swansea didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 72-34 defeat against Saluda on the 6th. As for Fairfield Central, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 52-46 loss against Camden on the 10th.
