Hawken had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.3 runs) and they went ahead and made it five on Friday. They put the hurt on the Springfield Spartans with a sharp 14-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Hawks, who have now won 11 games by nine runs or more so far this season.

Eli Mester and Jacob Stovsky did most of the damage at the plate: Mester went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI, while Stovsky went 1-for-2 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI Mester has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Asher Kimball, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.

Hawken always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .625. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .524 or higher in three consecutive contests.

Hawken's win bumped their record up to 19-5. As for Springfield, they dropped their record down to 5-20 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Hawken wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 defeat against Holy Name on the 27th. Springfield does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
