Anderson gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Thursday. They took their game with ease, bagging a 37-2 victory over the McCallum Knights. With the Trojans ahead 37-0 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Anderson to victory, but perhaps none more so than Caleb Crenshaw, who rushed for 104 yards and three scores on only eight carries. Crenshaw really tore up the turf during one magnificent 80-yard run. Another player making a difference was Cove Darbyshire, who rushed for 30 yards and one touchdown.
Anderson didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Grayson Lake, Davion Phelps, and Tate Haines picked up one apiece.
