Jeremiah Delarosa Delivers Best Effort of Season
Atwater was led to victory by Jeremiah Delarosa, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Delarosa rushed for 129 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 7.2 yards per carry, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. That high mark didn't come from nowhere: he has now punched in two or more in the last three games he's played dating back to last season.
The victory (which was Atwater's third in a row) raised their record to 6-1. Delarosa and Atwater will head out to challenge Golden Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Dupree Came Up Big in Merced's 45-7 Win
Quintell Dupree was instrumental in extending Merced's winning streak to three on Friday. Dupree did his part (and then some), throwing for 191 yards and three touchdowns while completing 80% of his passes, and also punching in a touchdown on the ground for the 'W'.
If history really does repeat itself, Dupree might just drop another big game when he faces off against El Capitan on Friday. Dupree threw for 176 yards and four touchdowns on perfect 5-for-5 passing the last time he and the Gauchos duked it out back in October of 2023.

Julian Higareda Makes It Two for Merced
Another Merced player making an appearance on this list is Julian Higareda. He picked up 70 receiving yards and a touchdown. He was no stranger to the big play, lighting up the secondary with a catch that went for 51 yards.
Higareda and Merced will host El Capitan at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Higareda will face off against Diego Ultreras, the Gauchos' star wideout. With so much talent on the field, fans are surely in for an exciting game. The only thing left to see is who brings home the W.

El Capitan's loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 4-3. Peters' next contest is against Merced on Friday, where he'll look to repeat that solid performance.
