Basketball Recap: Haley Leslie Key Part of a Team Effort in Patriots Win

Mohave Accelerated won the last time they faced North Valley Christian Academy and things went their way on Saturday too. The Mohave Accelerated Patriots snuck past the North Valley Christian Academy Lions with a 39-34 win. The 39-point effort marked the Patriots' lowest-scoring matchup of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Mohave Accelerated to victory, but perhaps none more so than Haley Leslie, who went 6 of 10 on her way to 15 points and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Hazel Mae Barnett, who posted four points and six steals.

Mohave Accelerated was working as a unit and finished the game with 12 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Despite the loss, North Valley Christian Academy saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Triniti Terracciano put up 11 points and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Chardonnay Pryce, who had five points and three steals.

Mohave Accelerated has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season. As for North Valley Christian Academy, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season.

Mohave Accelerated didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 51-50 victory against Thatcher on the 14th. As for North Valley Christian Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 32-16 win against Northland Prep Academy on the 16th.
