The Douglas County West Falcon will look to defend their home court  on Thursday against the Fort Calhoun Pioneers  at 6:00  p.m.
After dropping their season opener at home, Fort Calhoun is headed out to face a Falcon  squad ready to give their home crowd a win. Douglas County West fell  46-36 to Gretna on Friday. While the Falcon didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Dragons  15-11 in the first  quarter.

One of the most notable was  Ansley Elofson, who  dropped  a double-double on 15  points and 11  boards. Elofson is also crushing it when it comes to  steals: she's   grabbed at least two every time she's  taken the court this season.  Raeann Massey was another key player,  putting up 11 points along with eight  rebounds and seven  steals.
 Douglas County West might still be hurting after the  68-44 loss they got from Fort Calhoun  when the teams last played  back in January. That  matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point Douglas County West was down  39-19.
