Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only the Maconaquah Braves walked away with it. In a tight contest that could have gone either way, they made off with a 50-49 win over the Indians. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Maconaquah also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2023.
Miranda Stoll was her usual excellent self, scoring 24 points along with six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Hallie Maiben, who scored five points.
When it comes to explaining why Mississinewa lost on Tuesday, one person who can't be blamed is Jaci Crick. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double on 19 points and ten rebounds. Brooklynn Nash was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with two steals.
Maconaquah now has a winning record of 11-10. As for Mississinewa, their loss dropped their record down to 12-11.
Maconaquah will face off against the Knights at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Norwell is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last seven games. Mississinewa does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
