The River Dell Golden Hawks posted their closest victory yet this season on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged Ramsey out 49-47. The victory was all the more spectacular given River Dell's disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked 160th, while Ramsey is ranked 45th).
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead River Dell to victory, but perhaps none more so than Aditya Pandya, who scored 16 points along with five rebounds and three blocks. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Pandya has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Sean Golden, who scored 16 points along with six rebounds.
River Dell has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 7-7 record this season. As for Ramsey, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-4.
River Dell will head out on the road to square off against Westwood at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Westwood will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive. Ramsey will take on Pascack Hills at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
