The Centerville Bulldogs won against the Covenant Christian Academy Lions last Friday with 36 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Thursday. Centerville walked away with a 36-23 win over Covenant Christian Academy. The win made it back-to-back wins for Centerville.
Jamari Ayrow was his usual excellent self, rushing for 162 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 9.5 yards per carry, and also picking up 33 receiving yards. Ayrow was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 53 yards. Bryson Thomas was another key contributor, rushing for 74 yards and a touchdown.
Connor Lally and Peyton Trosclair certainly did their best on Thursday to try and avoid the loss. Lally rushed for 78 yards and two touchdowns, while Trosclair picked up 122 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Centerville's victory bumped their record up to 6-4. As for Covenant Christian Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-7.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Centerville will challenge Oberlin at 7:00 p.m. on November 10th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Louisiana (Oberlin is ranked 235th, while Centerville is ranked 218th). As for Covenant Christian Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Delta Charter on Friday. Delta Charter has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 278 points over their last six matchups.
