The Parkwood Wolf Pack fell victim to the Forest Hills Yellow Jackets''s stalwart defense on Friday and couldn't make it onto the board. They were beaten by the Yellow Jackets 42-0. While losing is never fun, Parkwood can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina football rankings (they are ranked 293rd, while Forest Hills is ranked 50th).
Emmett Evans threw for 36 yards on three of 12 attempts. Elijah Lowery was his top target, picking up 37 receiving yards and no touchdowns. On the ground, Amarri Lytle rushed for 26 yards.
It was another big night for Brady Hibbard, who threw for 135 yards and three touchdowns. Hibbard is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for three or more in the last three games he's played. Forest Hills also got a significant boost from Jordan Bennett, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 82 yards.
Parkwood's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their overall record down to 1-8. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 2.3 points per game. As for Forest Hills, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-1.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Parkwood will take on Piedmont at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Piedmont is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak. As for Forest Hills, they will head out on the road to face off against Anson at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
