The El Dorado Christian Buffalos's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They took a hard 50-32 fall against Heartland. El Dorado Christian has not had much luck with Heartland recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
Despite the defeat, El Dorado Christian saw an underclassman step up: McKenzie Cole scored 14 points along with 8 rebounds and 5 blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Cassie Johnson, who scored 10 points along with 6 rebounds and 5 steals.
El Dorado Christian bumped their record down to 1-4 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 25.5 points per game. As for Heartland, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 6-1.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. El Dorado Christian will take on Plaza Heights Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Plaza Heights Christian Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 23 on Friday. Heartland and Clinton Christian Academy will face off at 7:00 p.m. on December 11th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Missouri (Clinton Christian Academy is ranked 165th, while Heartland is ranked 159th).
