Malad has gone 6-1 against Snake River recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. Meanwhile, Snake River was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat dating back to last season. Snake River saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mailee Nash, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI. Allie Andersen also deserves some recognition as she scored her first run of the season.
Malad pushed their record up to 2-0 with the win, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.1 runs over those games. As for Snake River, their loss dropped their record down to 0-6.
Everything went Malad's way against Snake River in their previous matchup last Wednesday, as Malad made off with a 15-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Malad since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
