Cass Tech had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Fitzgerald Spartans a 16-0 shutout. Considering the Technicians have won 13 contests by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Cass Tech's win bumped their record up to 14-1. As for Fitzgerald, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-9.

Looking ahead, Cass Tech will be playing in front of their home fans against Taylor at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Fitzgerald, they will take on Madison at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
