On Friday, Providence Prep ended up a good deal behind the and lost 49-33. Providence Prep has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Providence Prep's loss came despite strong showings from Lilly Hodge and Sarah Vernon. Hodge dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten rebounds, while Vernon scored six points along with five rebounds and three steals. Vernon also posted two blocks for the first time this season.
Providence Prep has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-10 record this season. As for Texas Wind, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 16-10.
Providence Prep does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Texas Wind will be playing at home against the Knights at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Stephenville FAITH is looking to tack on another W to their nine-game streak on the road.
