The Rifle Bears's recent rough patch got a bit rougher  on Saturday after their third straight  loss. They ended up on the wrong side of a  rough 58-37 walloping at the hands of Moffat County. The  loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Rifle in their matchups with Moffat County: they've now lost seven in a row.
 Rifle lost  despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being   Jayden Hills, who  scored 14 points along with three  steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points  Hills has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of  Blayke Hostettler, who  dropped  a double-double on 13 points and ten  rebounds.
 Even though they lost, Rifle  smashed the offensive glass and  finished the game with 12  offensive rebounds. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Moffat County only pulled down five  offensive rebounds.
  Caitlyn Adams had an outrageously good game for Moffat County as she  scored 18 points along with six  assists and six  rebounds. Adams has been hot recently, having posted two or more  steals the last three times she's  played. Another player making a difference was  Ariana Buchanan, who  scored ten points along with five  steals.
 Rifle has  traveled a rocky road recently having  lost nine of their last ten matchups,  which put a noticeable dent in their 5-18 record  this season. As for Moffat County, the  win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 15-8.
 Rifle does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Moffat County will be staying on the road  on Tuesday to face off against Lamar at 5:30  p.m.  on February 20th. Lamar will roll in looking for their  eighth straight  win, something Moffat County surely won't give up without a fight.
