The Northgate Flames will head out on the road to face off against the Frazier Commodores at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Northgate comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 12 points in their last three games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
Last Friday, Northgate took a serious blow against Rochester, falling 42-8.
Meanwhile, Frazier had to suffer through a rough 50-6 loss at the hands of Clairton. While losing is never fun, Frazier can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania football rankings (they are ranked 529th, while Clairton is ranked 203rd).
The losses dropped Northgate to 4-5 and Frazier to 1-8.
Everything came up roses for Northgate against Frazier in their previous matchup back in October of 2022 as the team secured a 32-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Northgate since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
