The Mesa Jackrabbits will head out on the road to square off against the Skyline Coyotes at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.
Mesa took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. Everything went their way against Dobson as they made off with a 14-7 win.
Jada Porter made a big impact no matter where she played. She struck out eight batters over seven innings while giving up three earned (and four unearned) runs off seven hits. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in March. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.

In other batting news, Dayvanee Hill was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Those two hits gave her a new career-high. Mailyn Ortiz Cabezas was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.
Mesa hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Dobson struck out eight times.
Skyline not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since March 3rd (when they won 21-4). They were the clear victors by a 19-2 margin over Dobson.
Kendall Dasti was incredible, going 2-for-3 with six RBI, two stolen bases, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Lilliana Leon-Valenzuela, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with three runs and one stolen base.
Mesa's victory ended a nine-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 4-10. As for Skyline, the win was their first at home , bumping their record up to 5-19.
Skyline's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Mesa has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .439. It's a different story for Skyline, though, as they've only averaged .358. Will they be able to contain Mesa's hitters?
Mesa couldn't quite get it done against Skyline in their previous meeting on April 3rd as they fell 16-12. Can the Jackrabbits avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
