The Vancleave Bulldogs will head out on the road to face off against the Laurel Golden Tornadoes at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Vancleave is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
Last Friday, Vancleave's game was all tied up 20-20 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They managed a 27-23 victory over Stone.
Among those leading the charge was Derik Forehand, who rushed for 169 yards and a touchdown while picking up 7.3 yards per carry. Another player making a difference was Hunter Parker, who rushed for 57 yards and a touchdown.
Meanwhile, even though East Central scored an imposing 35 points on Friday, Laurel still came out on top. Laurel took down East Central 49-35. Laurel didn't have much to brag about two games back, but this victory makes it their second in a row.
Their wins bumped Vancleave to 2-5 and Laurel to 3-5.
